About the Project
How we got here
Key benefits of the new St. Paul's Hospital and health campus
Reduced wait times
Better quality care
Better health outcomes
Better experience for our patients
Improved value for health care dollars
The new St. Paul’s Hospital and health campus will be designed with patients at the centre. It will be more streamlined and intuitive, allowing patients to spend their time receiving the care they need and less time and energy trying to navigate a complex system.
Transforming patient care means new programs and services are aimed at keeping people healthy in their own community. Care will come to them, when and where it’s needed. It will use technology to focus on treatment through teamwork with patients and their families, leading to faster and better healing.
The health campus will focus on sustainability and resiliency. It will be a cornerstone for health innovation in the False Creek Flats. New walking and cycling paths as well as easily-accessible transit options will connect the campus to the rest of the community, the City and the entire province.
